My friend, Winter and I went hiking for a few hours up a mountain taking a cajon and a handpan with us. The sounds of the birds are real. Stunningly Superb !!!! More, please.
Thank you!!
@@rosslmccallum The thanks go to you and Daddi Bahmani. Where is he from, by the way? I really hope you can do more collabs with him. Personally, I would love to see some 6/8, 5/4 and more odd-time signatures. Anyway, this video is deserving of a large number of views (and likes). IMHO, it is one of the best you've done so far. Cheers to both of you.
I like the halftime approach. Will try it out with my band, too 🙂
Cool!
I'm on 19
Good work!!
Hey Ross, thank you for your great and inspiring tutorials! I have a question regarding your metronomes. I noticed that in earlier videos you used a Tama RW 30, nowadays you seem to use a Boss DB 90. For which reasons did you change? Do you still use the Tama? I use an old Korg Beatlab and I don‘t like the harsh sounds at all, so I am looking for an alternative. DB 90 would be quite an investment though … Keep on the great work!
I’m really happy you are enjoying my channel. Thanks! I don’t still use the old Tama metronome because I sold it when I went to the Boss. The Tama was also good but the Boss had everything so I just minimized my collection of gear. Nowadays, it’s a balance between using the Boss when I’m at home and an iOS metronome app or two when I’m out. I think I got the Boss for a really low price on sale so I’m happy with it for the money I paid. However, if you look at the price now and think “it can’t be worth that”, don’t get it. A $5.00 mobile app can really get you the most amazing metronomes to ever exist in my opinion. So if you consider that, physical metronomes aren’t so competitive. Having said that, I love having one. It’s like how some people love having a physical calculator. Try searching online in a 2nd hand marketplace for Boss metronomes shipping from Japan. They are long lasting machines and there’s supply enough that it would be way cheaper than a new one in retail.
Hey Ross, thanks for your quick reply! I use the pro metronome app and really like it, but the phone battery drains quickly, and lately I also use the live bpm app to check the tempo when playing with a band. That‘s quite a back and forth between apps then which I don‘t like. So I prefer having a hardware device, also for practice. Thank you for advice!
Love it❤
Thanks!
Awesome rhythm guys! I'm amazed you guys thought of these neat Cajon duet grooves. Seeing how much work you two put into it is so cool, can't wait to see more of you guys collaborating together! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much JD! There’s more coming 😁👍
What mics are those? Thought they were c3000 for a second but the wrong shape when I expanded to full screen.
I’m not sure 🤔 Let me ask Daddi.
it was really cool to play a video with you after long time ❤
Likewise bro!!
Loved the duo , hat's off to both the drummers 🙌
Thanks so much!
Absolutely phenomenal!! Really appreciate the notations. Gonna make it my goal this summer to pull this off with two versions of myself. Definitely need to work on my two finger rolls and swapping between 16th and 32nd if I wanna make this sound great. Thanks for the video once again!
You’re absolutely welcome. Comment or message any time if you need extra help 😁
